ABOUT US

History of Villa Montessori School
Villa Montessori has served the community for over 40 years. Hundreds of children have passed through our doors successfully. At present we continue to serve our community with the same mission that was established many years ago. Villa strives to continue the passing of a love for learning and positive citizenship to our present and future students.

Board of Directors

Villa Montessori School is parent operated, non-sectarian, non-profit corporation that is administered by eight board of directors elected by the parents of currently enrolled students. The Board of Directors meets regularly the first Tuesday of each month.

Villa Montessori Mission Statement

The Villa Montessori Program is designed to enhance and guide each child’s spontaneous and natural desire to learn during the most sensitive years of life. Our program encourages independent, self-directed achievement, which allows children to develop self-confidence and a positive self-image.

Villa Montessori School is a parent operated, non-sectarian, non-profit corporation, which is administered by eight Board of Director members elected by the parents of currently enrolled students. The Board of Directors meets regularly on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:00 PM in the classroom. The Board determines school policies and is also accountable for the school’s resources.

Parents play a very important role in the functioning of the school and are required to participate for a minimum of five hours in various aspects of the school’s operations such as making materials for the classroom, helping with cleaning and maintenance, long range planning, etc. In order to keep the tuition as low as possible, parents are expected to help in whatever the way they can, excluding classroom procedures.
