STAFF PROFILES

Pauline Zweers-Asche is the Director and head teacher at Villa Montessori. Mrs. Asche received A Master of Arts in Education, Montessori as well as an AMS certified from Notre Dame de Namur University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and is certified as an Individual Behavior Intervention therapist. Mrs. Asche has work been working as a Montessori teacher for thirteen years, having spent three of those years at Villa, before becoming the director during the summer of 2007. Mrs. Asche joined the teaching staff in Spring of 2004.

Estella Leung
is a head teacher at Villa Montessori and has over 17 years of experience teaching different age groups from infant to third grade in Hong Kong and the United States. Mrs. Leung has a Bachelor of Art and Sciences in Child Development from San Jose State University. She graduated from the Montessori Institute off Advanced Studies in affiliation with California State University, Hayward Extension Division. Mrs. Leung joined the Villa staff in September 2003.

Anisia Caimol is a certified AMS Montessori teacher. She joined Villa's staff in the fall of 2006. Mrs. Caimol taught at the Starlight School in Danville, California. Mrs. Caimol was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to California in 2002. She holds a degree in Creative and Performing Musical Arts Majoring in Piano from the College of Music at the University of the Philippines. Mrs. Caimol teaches individual private piano lessons. We feel very fortunate to have her and the wealth of her teaching experience in music she brings to Villa.

Sandy Lin has taught at Villa as a substitute teacher. She joined the full time teaching staff in 2006. Mrs. Lin obtained her Montessori AMI certification from the American Montessori Institute Center in Mountain View, California. Both of Mrs. Lin’s children are alumni from Villa Montessori School.

Any Jenkins is a certified AMS Montessori teacher with several years of traditional early childhood philosophy experience. She completed her Montessori certification in 2007. She continues to study towards a Bachelors degree in child development. Mrs. Jenkins has worked as a substitute pre-school teacher at various schools throughout the South Bay. She joined the Montessori team in February of 2007.

Wendy Leu is an alumna of Villa Montessori. She received her AMS certification in 2009 and completed her internship here at Villa. Mrs. Leu holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Science and a minor in Management Communications from USC. She left a career in information technology consulting to pursue her passion for teaching young children using the Montessori Philosophy and Method. Mrs.Leu joined the teaching staff in the fall of 2010.

Dee Glasser is Villa’s substitute teacher. Mrs. Glasser has taught at Villa for thirty years, twenty-eight years as a full-time teacher and three years as a substitute teacher.

Alicia Taam is the school’s administrative assistant. She joined the Villa staff in August 2003. Prior to this Mrs. Taam served on Villa’s Board of Directors for two years as the 4th Vice Chairman. She holds a Bachelors of Science in economics from UC Davis and is a Certified Public Accountant. Her two children both have attended and recently graduated from Villa Montessori.
