Open Full Time Position: Director, Head of School
Villa Montessori School seeks a self-driven, student-centered educator for the role of Full-Time Director/Head of School.
Established in 1964, Villa Montessori has served the community for over five decades, and its alumni have gone on to become successful contributors to society worldwide. Villa Montessori is a non-profit, non-sectarian program that encourages independent, self-directed achievement. As a Director, you would ensure that all students and staff are supported in a safe and nurturing environment with the resources to provide an exceptional Montessori education aligned with Villa’s values.
Qualified candidates have experience leading school administration and a passion to apply the Montessori Method to early childhood education.
Required qualifications and skills:
o Bachelor's degree in a related field
o AMS or AMI certification
o Minimum of three years working in a primary-age Montessori classroom
o A strong understanding and implementation of the Montessori Method
o Strong curriculum and classroom management skills
o Caring, patient, and nurturing attitude towards children
o Substantive leadership / management experience (school leadership experience strongly preferred)
o School administrative experience solving complex operational problems
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Excellent critical-thinking and decision-making skills
o Strong team leader
o Ability to cultivate an atmosphere of respect and cooperation among staff
o Skills to manage, inspire, develop, and evaluate a diverse teaching staff
o Expertise communicating with parents
