Villa is well known for our warm and nurturing staff, and we are widely respected in the early childhood field. Our teachers have many years of teaching experience with young children. We are very fortunate to have teachers who speak various languages and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The Villa staff work together as a cohesive team. They are responsible for maintaining the classroom environment, planning the curriculum, teaching and assessing children.
Geetha Sunder is Villa Montessori School Director. Ms. Geetha is an Early Childhood Educator and an Elementary Teacher, teaching since 2002. With credentials in Master of Arts in Educational Supervision and Administration, she is committed to further bring excellence in educational practices for every student, increase community building efforts, support staff development, and nurture parent involvement at Villa.
Sandy Lin is an AMI certified Montessori Teacher at Villa Montessori. She joined the teaching staff in 2005-2006 school year. Prior to joining the Villa staff, Mrs. Lin worked in other Montessori schools in the area for several years. Both of Mrs. Lin’s two children attended Villa. Mrs. Lin comes to us from Beijing, China.
Justine Fan is a certified AMS Montessori teacher. She received her BA degree in Early Childhood Education in Taiwan and came to the United States to earn her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in 1996. Mrs.Fan has been working in Montessori classrooms since 1998. She has taught at Children's Cottage in Alamo for two years and AppleSeed International School in Sunnyvale for thirteen years. She is very excited to join the Villa team this year!
Anisia Caimol is a certified AMS Montessori teacher and leads our music program. Before joining Villa’s team, Mrs. Caimol taught at the Starlight School in Danville, California. Mrs. Caimol joined the Villa team during the 2006-2007 school year. Her child recently attended Villa. Mrs. Caimol was born in the Philippines and moved to California in 2002.
Any Jenkins is a certified Montessori Teacher at Villa Montessori with several years of traditional early childhood education. Mrs. Jenkins has worked as a substitute pre-school teacher at various schools throughout the South Bay. She joined the teaching staff during the 2006-2007 school year. She originally comes from Peru.
Kumud Desai is a certified MACTE Montessori Teacher. Mrs. Desai taught at One World Montessori School in Santa Clara, and Step by Step Preschool at Aliso Viejo, Southern California before joining Villa Montessori in 2016-2017 school year. Mrs. Desai has an ECE certificate from Mission Collage and a Bachelor's degree from Karnataka University Dharwar, India.
Mika Hatori is currently working towards earning her Montessori Certification. Ms. Hatori has been working as a preschool teacher for three years in Japan prior moving to the U.S. as an Au pair in 2013. She volunteered at Villa during 2016 school year and joined Villa's teaching team from 2017 school year as a Teacher in Training.
Alicia Taam is the Office Manager for Villa Montessori. She joined the Villa staff in the 2003-2004 school year. Prior to joining the Villa staff, Mrs. Taam served on Villa’s Board of Directors for two years as the 4th Vice Chairman and was a practicing CPA. Both of her two children attended Villa Montessori. Mrs. Taam was born and raised in the Bay Area.
